Spine surgeon Michael Janssen, DO, lectured on the latest advances in motion-preserving spine surgery techniques at the “Advances in Motion Preservation of the Spine” course on October 5. The course was hosted by the Seattle Spine Foundation. 

Dr. Janssen’s topics included:

  • History, Development and Testing of Lumbar Disc Arthroplasty
  • Cellular Regeneration Strategies for Disc Nucleus Regeneration: Where Are We
  • Variations in Cervical Disc Arthroplasty: A Review of Different Technologies

Dr. Janssen performed a cadaveric surgery demonstration at a BioSkills Lab via a live broadcast during his lecture on Variations in Cervical Disc Arthroplasty. He was one of the guest professors at the event.
