Summer Science Day Camps to Offer Hands-On Education for Students Grades 2-12Summer break is around the corner, and what better way to keep your child’s mind active than registering them for summer science camp! The Scientific Education and Research Foundation (SERF) will offer three summer science day camps for elementary, middle school, and high school students. Each session will be held Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain EducationCenter in Thornton.Summer Science Day Camps to Offer Hands-On Education for Students Grades 2-12

The Discovery Camp for second to fifth graders will run from June 21-24. Children will learn about biology, anatomy, animals, and space through fun, hands-on activities. The focus will be on expanding students’ knowledge and stimulating their imaginations.

The Explorer Camp for sixth to eighth graders will run from July 5-8. This session will feature hands-on activities designed to entertain pre-teens, particularly those interested in science.

Summer Science Day Camps to Offer Hands-On Education for Students Grades 2-12The Scholar Camp for ninth to 12th grade high school students will be held from July 19-22. It is designed for students who want to gain more knowledge of the medical field and human anatomy. The student will develop new skills, such as suturing, in the center’s cadaver lab. Topics related to microbiology and chemistry, among others, will be included.

The cost is $350 per participant with discounts for multiple children. Scholarships are also available for qualified students.
