Yoga is great for back pain but is also known to help with body care, awareness, and mindfulness. Below, is a video that some of the staff here at the Center for Spine and Orthopedics have used to help with the areas that contribute to low backaches and pain, as well as provide preventative care! Flexibility, core stability, healthy alignment, and conscious breathing are all necessary for a healthy back. Practice actively engaging the core for support and then give some love to that lower back with the use of gentle spinal flexions, extensions, and twists. Watch the video below for some great at home, light exercise!
